OK, I've decided I need (yes need, not want!) a 203 on my M4. Is there any reason why I shouldn't run a 203 like this one www.airsoftpost.com/echo-sopmod-tactical-m203-grenade-launcher-series-long-p-24872.html on the bottom and leave the battery on top of the barrel with the top half of the hand guard ? I don't think that I want a RIS because then I'd be tempted to mount a bunch of shit I don't need.... For reference I have a basically stock TM M4 and I'm looking for a setup like this: More questions: You guys warned me that some shells will not fit in the short versions but will a long version fit the M4 without protruding past the barrel? Grenades: CO2 or green gas? I assume that more BBs is better but is there a decrease in performance (velocity &/or range) with an increase in BBs?

I don't think there will be a problem mounting the 203 and still using your battery compartment but if you want you can get small RIS rails that bolt on through the vent holes in your hand guard, Reaper has a set on his and they seem to work well, it would be cheaper, allow you to use a peq box for larger batteries and because there would only be 2 rails would prevent you from loading up with lots of useless stuff. As for grenades, the short 203 should open far enough to use most grenades, the one Gifted was talking about is a mad bull micro grenade launcher and it only opens about half as far as a 203. a general rule of thumb is the more shots, the less power but brand name is your biggest concern, stay away from king arms! I like mad bull, mosquito, and CAW personally. I worked with a grenadier named time bomb in new your and he recomends EGO grenades by VK-Arms. www.kapowwe.comAll of my grenades are green gas I'm not sure how well the Co2 ones would work, some ops may restrict them because Co2 can be somewhat unpredictable as far as fps. Just remember that grenades regardless of brand can be a pain to maintain. seals are always going bad, they need to be lubed up alot, it can be a pain refilling them before ops, all sorts of things. but the chance to kill a tank once in a while can sometimes make it worth it.
