Hey guys I can't decide on which company to buy my gun from. I definitely want to buy a SCAR but Echo1 offers one and so does Classic Army. The CA model is roughly 100$ more than the E1 version, and my problem is whether the Classic Army version is worth the money in the long run, if so than ill be happy to shell out the extra cash, just as long as the rifle is worth it. So if you guys could check out the specs of both the guns for me id really appreciate it And give me your opinions. Also, let me know if you can find a SCAR that is entirely metal! Id rather spend the extrra money on a gun that will last me.
Im also having a tough time deciding on/finding a full metal USP the only one that I've found and has had decent reviews is by KWA and im not sure whether to go with the compact or USP-K.45 I think it is, and my only issue between those is id like to know if the standard USP gets better range than the compact. Plus its not entirely metal like I was looking for, only the top slide is. So if you know of where I can find one please point me in the right direction!!

let me know if you can find a SCAR that is entirely metal! I doubt that you'll find one because the real steel SCAR's lower receiver is made of polymer, not metal... so I would think that the main deciding factor should be the quality of the internals. I've owned a couple of CAs (proline and sportline) and have been happy with them. Also CA has a decent reputation for quality. It looks like the CA mechbox is their newest and upgraded with 7mm bearings/bushings, etc. Read more here and here. As for E1 I haven't had experience with one yet but their reputation is for surprisingly solid guns. Here is a review of the E1 SCAR. I think somebody on the team has a SCAR... I remember seeing it but don't remember whose hands it was in. Hopefully they'll post-up with some first-hand experience for you... BTW, I'm not lobbying for the CA, I just have had some experience with their M4s...either gun looks good to me

It's a tough call, I've had a couple of CAs and my first gave me a lot of grief. The mech box was junk, lost a piston within a couple of months and had some wiring issues, not to mention gear trouble, I replaced the mechbox from own in a cheaper sport line and haven't had a problem since. So CA's can really be hit and miss. The echo ones I've seen have so far proven themselves to be pretty good, I have 2 E1 SAWs and my brother has a 614 both have served well. Then again I have heard others complain about them. I will say that E1 makes some of the best high torque motors I've replaced most of the motors in my guns with E1s. If I were you I'd go for the cheaper one, at least then you can have some money left to buy parts and a decent side arm in case it does go down. and trust me, weather it's CA or E1 it WILL go down, that's part of the game.

That's why I figured I couldn't find an all-metal version, I started to do some research and I noticed the polymer lower reciever. But I've been thinking about it and I think im gonna go with the cheaper E1, because not only have all the reviews been very good about it, but like pung said ill have moneey left over and im thinking that id definitely like to upgrade the internals of it over time and make it the way I want it myself. I've been reading up on tight bore barrels and I think im going to look arouund for one for the SCAR when I get it, the only problem is I would need help taking it apart!!! Speaking of which, I got a E1 G36C for christmas and I've tried it out and I think there's something wrong with the wiring because it has this problem where it just doesn't respond when I pull the trigger. So if either of you guys could open up the gun for me and be able to check it out that'd be cool, cause im kinda bummed it doesn't work properly =( so I may need to get a new rifle sooner than I expected.

before you tear into that gun find out where it came from, if you just opened it there should be some sort of return policy. see if you can get a new one first!
if you're looking into getting a tight bore, be careful, a lot of them won't work well with cheap ammo so you will have to special order high grade for it. it doesn't cost much more but the trouble comes from having to order ammo a week or so before you need it.

I have a tight bore barrel in my 614 and I love it. Like Pung said I have to order special BBs but it is not that big of a deal. I can got 10,000 .25g BBs for about $30. Also, if you really want a metal body, you can order one seperatly. I have one again for my 614. The Zombie Killer came with an upper and lower reciever and all of the internals and it cost me about $140. So I would definitly go with the E1 only because I absolutly love mine, but then again I have never had a CA.

I think im definitely going to go with the E1, I read a really detailed review on AirsoftBarracks and I really liked what I saw. And that's not a bad deal on the bb's at all!! So thanks Gifted I think ill definitely try and save up for a tightbore, but when I do get one im probably going to need help opening up the gun and installing it. But I want to order the gun itself this thursday when I get paid, so I was wondering how I can get my order to our supplier and get my discount? Would it be possible to make my order like today, that way he can order the gun and have it by the end of the week or something when I can pick it up, or make a trip with you guys to get it?

I can probobly give you a hand with installing the barrel when you get it. I've never worked on a scar before but I can probobly figgure out how to get at it. as for ordering the gun look on Evike and get the full name and item number of it then call the sponsor and give him that info, he'll hook you up with the discount and everything. You'll have to get the number from either Ski, DQ or Guardian, I don't have it.

Im to lazy to read the thread to see which you picked but I have heard good things about the CA and reserched it.
It seems like a solid gun and from what I heard it is, two problems are the gear box is a pain to get out until you know the trick and you might need to replace the tappet plate shortly after getting it, but other than that its supposed to be a really kick ass gun.
Cheers,

I was just at our sponsor's store the other day and he has a couple of scars, I was looking at one, I believe it was a G&G, it looked very well built, the upper reciever was metal, the lower was plastic, and it was very solid, I did not fire it however so I have no idea about performance. A couple of guys on our team are carrying G&Gs and seem to like them, it may be worth checking out.
