I think that we should all carry compases so that we know witch way is witch and if we have an idea of witch way is north it would be easer for us to call out targets like contact east or 3 guys to the south.

thats a good idea, but if its not hard to call out targets, "contact to my 3 oclock!" for example, i believe thats what we been doing.

I love how people keep mentioning things that cost us money...I don't have a job and I am pretty much broke. So sorry JT; no compass for me, nice idea though.

Plus there is this thing called a sun that rises in the east and sets in the west.
But in all actuallity if the team wants compasses, I will buy them for the team..

Gifted I understand your situation completely, but they are really cheap.
And even if every dosen't have one you can let other people know or something. or the co could say we are heading east

i dunno in that kind of situation i see compasses as more of a burden then anything else, compasses are nice for scenerios where, your way off in the woods, navigateing through them where there isnt much action as you move, or move to the hot zone, but actualy being in the hot zone..do you really think it would of been very convenient during blood dynasty 2 for guardian to say "lets head east!!!" then everyone stops to pull out their compasses and check to see what direction is east? all while being heavily fired upon? not very logical to me. i like the "contact at 1 oclock, 2 oclock etc etc" thing, and as for which way we are heading... however the leader wants to figure that out is good, but we follow the leader, or current squad leader, if they want a compass for that cool otherwise we go where direct us, which in a hot zone ushualy involves pointing in the said direction, thats just my opinion on the whole thing, its why i really havent gotten a compass yet

well you wouldn't keep cheaking it you would look at it when you first go out and then you would know witch way is witch because its not that hard to have a sence of direction after you know witch way is witch

its pretty easy to get turned around in the heat of battle JT, good sence of direction or not, esspecially at a field we are not use to playing at, im not saying anything bad about your idea man, im just expressing my opinion about when i feel compasses would be usefull and when not, like i stated above, i feel in the heat of battle, the leaders, whether it be guardian or a squad leader, would be more affective with the 12 oclock , 1 oclock system, and also motioning in the direction your are ordering someone to move, pretty much what we are doing right now anyways.

Boys relax. There are pros and cons to compasses. I carry two. I say if people want one get one if not no worries. I mean think about it. If you have twelve people in the woods you don't need twelves compasses. It is a good idea death knight. What if one person from each squad carried one. To sorta act as navigator. Sound good?
