I noticed that Airsoft GI (which is US based) has CYMA AK-47s, AKMs, AKS-74Us, and AK-74s all for under $150, and they have free shipping for orders over $100. Now, I know that CYMA has had a bad rep, but of the several reviews I have read, these new AK variants that CYMA has released are top notch, almost on par with Echo 1, Classic Army, and Tokyo Marui. All are full steel construction, and fire at about 300-350fps. They also include a fitting for a scope mount, which is also available on the Airsoft GI website for about $25. *NOTE: A word of caution, these airsoft guns are China made. Just a brief review of the AKS-74U I recieved. After going over the gun, it looks like it's a sure fire winner. Airsoft GI chrono'd the gun at about 370fps, and I confirmed it by doing a poor man's chrono (bb fired at 2 inches from the side, then bottom of a pop can). The bb punched through both sides easily, and punched through the bottom with little effort. The gun has a good weight to it, around 8lbs probably. The construction is rock solid, almost no creaks or loose components. Full metal body/stock, wood handgrips, and plastic pistol grip. There are only two things I have to complain about. First is that the selector lever did become loose after a while, but this is easily fixed with a phillips screwdriver and some threadlocker. Second is the pistol grip feels a bit cheap, and it's the only part of the gun that creaks. The folding stock is full metal, and feels like it won't be broken easily.
