hey folks, we seem to be having quite a few problems with our weapons dying or batteries going bad so I thought it would be a good idea to put up some general maintenance tips to keep these things shooting, anyone have some good advice for do's and don'ts with AEG's or gas guns?

here's a few I've figgured out. 1. discharge your batteries before charging and don't use zip chargers too often 2. use silicone spray to lube the gun, not gun oil or WD-40 as that will ruin the seals 3. fire one shot in semi auto with the mag out after your done playing to be sure the chamber is clear and the spring isn't compressed 4. unplug the battery when not in use. 5. empty your mags when storing them. 6. never EVER let guardian take your gun apart!!!!! any more tips just add them to the list.

Pung..it also should be added to never let Guardian use your gun as well...or he might break it by...falling on it, dropping it, throwing it...or leaving it on a car and driving off with out it.....but not like he has done this before.......

A good one i just found out....Make sure that if your fuse needs replacing you use the right one and not one that you think will work.

Making this a sticky thread because it's info everyone can benefit from. Back on topic, make sure you clean out the barrel of your gun with a small cloth every now and then, it will help prevent jamming and such. Most airsoft guns come with a cleaning rod of some sort. Also keep your mags lubricated with silicone oil. Edit: Airsoft GI also has a basic gun care page too with some helpful tips: www.airsoftgi.com/information.php?info_id=43
